Throughout the year, in celebration of the International Archives Congress, Catalan archives have organized a set of outreach activities to bring citizens closer to documents that demonstrate the importance and significance of Catalonia’s documentary heritage in the construction of Europe, related to local governance, borders, economic drivers, architecture, collective services, and the solidarity of Catalan society.
 

Archives are spaces for the management, processing, and preservation of administrative and historical documentary heritage, but also for the recovery of historical memory and the consolidation of collective civic consciousness. In this context, outreach activities for specialists and, above all, for the general public, are a key part of their public projection.
