The online portal of the Catalan cultural heritage

The cultural heritage online portal is a tool of the Department of Culture for the improvement of knowledge and the promotion of the Catalan cultural heritage, which offers a selection of the most outstanding cultural, material and immaterial heritage. The heritage elements have been selected taking into account diverse criteria, such as external recognition (if they have been recognized with special categories such as World Heritage, National Museum, Intangible Heritage, Cultural Property National Interest, etc); Its social use and its impact on the community; Its professional recognition, as well as the involvement or interest of the managers of each of the patrimonial resources to participate.

The platform is also a communication space through which the Direcció General d'Arxius, Biblioteques, Museus i Patrimoni and the Agència Catalana del Patrimoni Cultural make available all that relates to its action and commitment to cultural heritage and citizens. A commitment that requires working on the protection, defense, documentation and dissemination of the cultural heritage of Catalonia.
