What is the Traveller’s Passport?

The Traveller’s Passport is a keepsake document for visitors to the heritage sites taking part in the Els Ulls de la Història project. At each site, you collect a stamp to mark your visit – and once you’ve filled every page, a very special gift awaits you.

It’s an invitation to journey through different moments in Catalonia’s history, travelling back in time through its cultural heritage and discovering each monument with fresh eyes.

Each passport lists all the monuments and sites in the project, with a dedicated space for a stamp at every location you visit.

Els Ulls de la Història is a cultural experience like no other – a way of discovering the monuments and archaeological sites of Catalonia’s heritage with an innovative and inclusive perspective that brings the past to life through everyday stories and immersive experiences. The project is led by the Generalitat Government of Catalonia’s Department of Culture, through the Agència Catalana del Patrimoni Cultural.

Where can I get one?

You can pick up a Traveller’s Passport at the reception of any of the monuments or heritage sites taking part in the Els Ulls de la Història project.
Simply ask for one and your journey begins.

How does it work?

1. Pick up your passport at any participating site.
2. Experience Els Ulls de la Història at the monument.
3. Get your passport stamped at the end of your visit.
4. Carry on your journey by visiting the other participating sites.
5. Collect every stamp and your passport is complete.

Each stamp proves you’ve visited a heritage site and travelled back in time to another chapter of Catalonia’s history.

How long do I have to complete it?

The Traveller’s Passport has no expiry date.

It’s designed to be completed at your own pace, which seems entirely fitting for a journey that spans the length and breadth of Catalonia.

New monuments will be joining the Els Ulls de la Història over the coming years, and your passport will remain valid for as long as the programme is running.

A journey through Catalonia’s heritage

The Traveller’s Passport guides you through some of the most significant sites and eras of Catalan heritage, including:

- The Romanesque churches of the Vall de Boí.
- The Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes.
- Miravet Castle.
- The rock art at Roca dels Moros.
- The immersive experiences at Espai Moja.

Every visit offers a different window onto the past, combining history, emotion and technology to help you see each place in a new light.

What do you get when your passport is complete?
