La situació d'aprenentatge | Cultural Heritage. Goverment of Catalonia.

The various learning situations are designed to engage with the educational curriculum through Catalan monuments in the most interdisciplinary manner possible. Consequently, schools selected via the UDLH project call will receive the Guia de la situació d’aprenentatge (Learning Situation Guide), which includes the complete development of the learning situation and all necessary materials for its implementation.

This guide offers between 9 and 11 optional sessions. All sessions, except for the one involving a virtual reality (VR) experience, are intended to be conducted in the classroom.

Project dossier               How the experience works

Classroom sessions focus on:
• The spatial and temporal context of the historical period.
• The historical and social backdrop of the era.
• The artistic style characteristic of each period.
• Drawing parallels between the past and the present.

The immersive VR session (integrated within the learning situation) entails:
• An experiential activity that transports students to pivotal historical moments of each monument.
• A collective experience of the past from a first-hand perspective.
• A presentation of various curriculum content through narration, images and interactive elements designed to evoke emotions and thereby create longer-lasting memories for students.

The UDLH installation team sets up the immersive VR room – preferably within the school – for a duration of one week. It can also be installed in a municipal space. The essential requirement is that the space be open-plan.

• Els ulls de la història. The Educational Experience offers two sizes of immersive VR rooms: one measuring 80 m² and another 50 m².

This VR session is facilitated by the UDLH mediation team.
