Pallars Sobirà Regional Archive (ACPS)
The Pallars Sobirà Regional Archive (ACPS) was created by the agreement signed by the Sort City Council, the Pallars Sobirà Regional Council and the Department of Culture of the Catalan Goverment (Generalitat de Catalunya) on 27 July 1992 and was inaugurated on 28 April 1995 by the Honorable Minister of Culture, Joan Guitart i Agell. It is part of the Regional Archives Network of the Generalitat de Catalunya, is attached to the Department of Culture and Media and is managed by the Pallars Sobirà Regional Council.
The ACPS safeguards the funds of most of the town councils in the region, the funds of the Pallars Sobirà Regional Council, the funds of the notary district, the Mortgage Registry, various patrimonial and personal funds and has a microfilm copy of the Pallars, Vilamur and Catalonia General funds of the Archivo Ducal de Medinaceli.

What can I do?
- Chronological scope: 10th-21st centuries.
- Document consultation. Auxiliary library and newspaper library.
- The library contains regional bibliography and general reference works.
- Reproduction: photocopies and digitization of documents.
- Courses, seminars and conferences.
- Guided tours of the archive facilities, aimed primarily at school or university groups, but also open to other interested groups of citizens.
- These visits must be arranged in advance.
Timetables
Winter hours
Morning: Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Afternoon: Monday to Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On Friday afternoon, the consultation will be open if there are requests by appointment.
Summer hours
From June 1 to September 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
