An ICREA Research Professor at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, where he leads the Computational Archaeology team, and at the Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology, where he co-leads the Landscape Archaeology research group.
His work focuses on studying the interactions between past societies and their environment using computational tools such as GIS, remote sensing, predictive modelling and machine learning.
