Architect
Born in Girona in 1981, Miquel del Pozo is an architect with an MA in Theory and History of Architecture, as well as an art broadcaster on radio (Cadena SER), television (Betevé) and social media networks (#MA140), a lecturer in various cultural institutions, and a collaborating professor at the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation. He has focused his studies on the relationship between humans and images, from their origins until the present day, with an overarching view that seeks to identify the relationships between painting, sculpture, architecture, cinema and dance, with a particular emphasis on the constant dialogue that the visual arts have with literature. Some of his latest works include Post Scriptum. La imatge després de la paraula (Atrium Artis Foundation, 2021-2022); Gaudí, l’arquitecte (National Art Museum of Catalonia, 2022-2023); Mirar amb altres ulls (Network of Art Museums of Catalonia, 2022-2023), and Rostro, máscara e imagen. La construcción del “yo” a través del arte (CaixaForum, 2022-2023). In addition to this are various annual courses for Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation, such as La fiesta de la pintura: Velázquez, Miró, Goya y Picasso (2021); Venecia: lámparas que aún centellean (2020); Tres miradas sobre el mundo: Vermeer, Rembrandt y Van Gogh (2020); Ingredientes para un Renacimiento: Florencia (2019); Roma: Rafael, Miguel Ángel, Caravaggio y Bernini (2018), and Mirar a Miguel Ángel hoy (2017). He has published articles in edited volumes (Porque me has visto has creído: el Nuevo Testamento en el arte, 2020) and magazines (El Món d’Ahir, no. 23).
