Pati Núñez (Barcelona, 1976) is a journalist, communications consultant and curator. In 2007, she founded the communication agency that bears her name, which focuses on communication strategies associated with cultural sectors such as architecture, design and art (www.patinunezagency.com). She also founded the Open House Madrid architecture festival in 2014.
She has dedicated her professional life to making culture more accessible for the general public. She does this primarily through her communications agency, but also through other initiatives, such as the creation of Open House Madrid, the promotion of art and architecture films, the writing of books and articles, and teaching.
She has worked as a writer and cultural critic in various publications and newspapers such as the “Cultura|s” supplement of La Vanguardia. She gives classes and lectures at national and international universities, such as the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, Universidad Internacional de Cataluña, Universidad de Málaga, University of Antwerp and Columbia University.
Her books include Recordando a Coderch, published by Librooks, and RCR. Somni i natura, published by Actar. She also contributed to the book Innovación desde el museo, coordinated by Marisol Salanova and José Luis Pérez Pont.
She was co-curator of the exhibition L’Herència de Coderch at MINIM in 2016, and she curated the exhibition RCR. Dream and Nature at the Catalan Pavilion of the Venice Biennale in 2018, together with the architect Estel Ortega and RCR Arquitectes.
She was the producer and promoter of art and architecture films such as Jordi Bernadó’s Hello Ms. Hock and Poldo Pomés’ Recordant a Coderch.
Her communications agency work has involved collaborating with some of the country’s most prestigious cultural institutions, such as ”la Caixa” Foundation and Mies van der Rohe Foundation, of which she was director of communication. Pati Núñez directed the international communications and public relations strategy for the Spanish Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale of Architecture, for which she was awarded a Golden Lion.
