How can we participate in the call for Els ulls de la història. The Educational Experience?
You can submit a proposal through this link.
Please note that the experience involves installing a large immersive room at your school. Our technical team will need to ensure that your institution can accommodate it. Therefore, it is essential to provide as much information as possible about the technical and logistical criteria, which you will find in the form.
If we only wish to conduct the virtual reality session, can we request this option?
No. The proposal is designed as a learning situation. The preparatory content is as important as the VR experience itself. Therefore, priority will be given to schools committed to implementing the full learning situation.
What requirements must our school meet to host the immersive experience?
It is crucial that the space remains locked when not in use. Please note that this installation consists of highly sensitive and valuable components that are difficult to replace and will need to be transported to various schools over the coming months. Please inform all staff about the activity schedule to prevent unscheduled sessions or unauthorised use of the room.
If the technical requirements are not met or the conditions differ from those declared, Els ulls de la història reserves the right to cancel the installation and, consequently, the activity.
What will happen at our school once the dates for Els ulls de la història. The Educational Experience are confirmed?
Please note that the VR experience lasts 60 minutes per group, beginning with an introduction by the mediation team, followed by the VR experience, and concluding with a brief discussion.
How are groups organised for the VR session, and who is responsible for this?
Teachers must ensure that each group arrives on time for their designated session, as their role is essential for the success of the VR session.
Remember that the sessions span the entire school day, from Tuesday to Thursday.
What is the ideal group size for the VR session?
Will the VR session take place during the subject lesson that leads the learning situation?
No. Sessions will be scheduled throughout the day, not just during the designated subject lessons (e.g. Social Sciences, Catalan Language), to maximise the use of the equipment and accommodate all participating students.
What role do teachers play during the VR session?
A supervising teacher must be present for each subgroup, assisting the Els ulls de la història mediation team in monitoring and guiding the students. If a subgroup does not reach full capacity, the accompanying teacher may also participate in the immersive experience, provided they can exit the immersive space at any time if needed (simply by removing the VR headset).
